Finding Your Passion

I'm going to diverge from my normal "health" article, and take it a little into left field today. I had the pleasure of meeting with someone today that I feel like I was supposed to meet. Be it cosmic, spiritual, or just by chance, I feel like this person helped me turn the corner today.

Over the past few months, I have struggled with the minutia of owning/operating a business. I am new to the business world from an owner perspective, and I lost sight of why Dr. Ashley and I purchased this practice. We are here to help people and taxes, payroll, and purchasing toner often gets in the way of that vision we have. Understanding your passion is the way to true happiness, not money or things. I realized today that I am here to help people live better, healthier lives. I can't do that if I lose track of my passion.

Being passionate isn't about ranting and raving about your product or service being the best. Let's be real here, I've only been licensed in WI since 2011, and there are plenty of Chiropractors in the area with 30, or more, years under their belts. But, what I do have is passion to help every single person that trusts me with their health and do the best possible job for them on every single visit. That's my passion, and I understand that I have to be on my A-game every single second that I am in the office. Through talking with the person I referenced above, I realized that in order for me to truly help people, I have to live my passion. Practice what you preach is the old adage, and it couldn't be more true.

The bottom line here is that because I have realized my passion that was buried under paperwork and computer screens, I promise to give my all to every single patient that steps foot in our office. I hope my rant didn't quite turn you off, and you do all that you can to find your passion and live it. Frankly, it's the only way to live.

Stay healthy,

Dr.  Jason
